Day 2 - Gr 5

Grade 5
Use your power of observation to complete the following directions and add things from your imagination if you like.
    1) Draw a winter landscape. Make sure to draw a line that separates land from sky.
2) Overlapping of trees, hills, fences or whatever you see.
 3) Add things from your imagination.
4) Pay attention to sizes of the things you see. Branches get smaller as you look higher up into trees. Far away things look smaller and usually higher on the page.
5) Make far away things feel softer by pressing lightly with your pencil. Pressing harder will make close up things appear bolder.
6) Use “perspective” if you can, showing more than one side of a building or a road, for example, getting smaller as it disappears into the distance.
7) Add color if you have it; watercolor, crayons, colored pencil or just keep your drawing pencil on white.
Please spend at least 30 minutes on this assignment.
If you decide to do your Art Blizzard Bag on your computer, just follow the steps listed at the beginning of the Blizzard Bag Blog. Be sure to scroll down the page.

Remember to rename your drawing. Use your own name and grade! Share with me on google drive, to mlemay@govwentworth.k12.nh.us
(The share button is at the top right of the screen.)

You may want to practice using the line tool first as it can be tricky. Try to remember what we did in steam class to create pictures.
MAKE SURE ALL WORK HAS NAME, DATE, AND CLASS CLEARLY PRINTED ON THE BACK!
